Haze is a magazine focusing on unconventional travel destinations, as part of a series in Time Out. The vision of Haze revolves around surrealism, evoking interest and allure. The magazine covers of extreme dreamlike, absurd scenery conveys this spirit. The article “The Secret City” is based around a town in Tennessee where the atomic bomb was developed. My vision for this article was to create bold, striking large scale type with psychedelic image treatment on the mushroom cloud. The colour palette was toned down and faded which gave a sense of smoke, allure and secrecy.
